Alexander McQueen Found Dead // Sad Day in Fashion World

Today the fashion world mourns. CNN.com reports today that the top designer was found dead in his London home.

According to a tweet posted on McQueen's Twitter page, the designer's mother died February 2. He also added that life must go on.

McQueen is best known for his amazing runway shows and his limitless imagination. We are saddened and shocked at his death. This goes to show us that even the greats fall at some time in the journey of life.

Lee 'Alexander' McQueen's Website Statement says that his family doesn't want to make any statements regarding his death and asks for the media to respect that.

As you all can see here with SJP, McQueen was fearless in all that he did, however, he was highly respected by all of those who knew him (and even didn't know him).

You all may remember his shoes in Gaga's "Bad Romance" video. This amazing design made jaws drop. Gaga tells CNN, "He is so, he is on his own planet, he doesn't need to respond to trends, or what anyone else is doing,"

Alexander 'the great' McQueen will remain one of our top favorite designers for his fearlessness and creative heart. We send our prayers and deepest condolences to the family, he will be missed.
